Gracias a la dentista agradezco su amabilidad y honestidad, y a la chica que me hizo la limpieza quien por cierto ambas hablan los dos idiomas y son excelentes en el trato humano. Hay mucha empatía y al doctor que aunque no habla español me explicó todo muy bien

Long post alert 🚨 Today was my first at Equinox Dental, after years of going to a much bigger provider (the one with a color and “berg” in the name). The difference was night and day as in a positive way. Equinox is a smaller office, welcoming, and the staff was attentive from the moment I walked in. I was actually seen right on time (yes, including then time it took for me to finish my first visit paperwork) From the front desk to the hygienist to the dentist herself, everything felt personal and focused on me and my care, instead of just getting me in and out. What stood out, aside from the above mentioned details, was that the dentist herself checked me out and even scheduled my next appointments (I heard her making appointment confirmation calls before I walked up) while the front desk person was tied up. This shows that she doesn’t feel that work outside of her "job description" is beneath her (as many doctors think), and that kind of teamwork really showed me they put patients first. The office itself is spotless, modern, and decorated in a way that feels warm and inviting. The equipment is all up to date too, a huge upgrade from the old Flintstone-style machines my last place used (yes, the type of x-ray machine that spins around your head while playing that kiddie tune). I switched providers not because of a specific negative experience, but because of experience that I experienced over time, such as me being tired of investing days (2-3) just to get someone on the phone to complete things as simple as scheduling appointments (Equinox offers online scheduling, displaying available dates/times). My appointment time were never respected, because they always overbooked, based on staff availability, which felt as a way to secure revenue, while I, and many others sat in the the unkept waiting area like cattle. At Equinox, it feels like I am being treated like a person, not just another person making them money. This review was out of my own will, and was not compensated nor was I asked to leave it. I just believe as consumers we take time to complain, but rarely make the same effort to praise. Also for others to make the right decisions for them when selecting the right provider for them, to help managen their healthcare.
